The Start Up Process:

STEP ONE

If you are interested in learning more about our services, the first step is to set up an intake appointment with one of the senior members of our staff.

  • During the intake, we will discuss your child’s history, his or her strengths, as well as your priorities for intervention.  We will also provide additional information to you about our services.
  • Please bring any assessment information that you may have.

STEP TWO

Should you decide that FCPG is a good match for your family and your child, we will proceed as follows:
We will send you a family agreement as well as consent forms to complete.
  • We will assign a consultation team to your family.
  • You will have an initial meeting with your consultation team to discuss your goals and priorities, your preferred session schedule and your needs & preferences with regard to Behavioural Interventionists (BIs).  You will also be given a curriculum checklist to fill out.
  • We will begin the process of finding BIs for you to interview.
  • Your consultation team will book a number of appointments to begin the assessment process with your child.
  • Using your input surrounding your family’s goals and priorities, as well as information from our assessment, your consultation team will build an initial Behavioural Plan of Intervention for your child.
  • We will provide a two-day training workshop to the BIs. whom you have hired.
  • BIs will begin rapport-building with your child.

STEP THREE

Once a plan is in place, we will hold our first team meeting and will begin providing individualized training for your BIs.
  • We will meet as a team to review the plan and to introduce the programs.
  • Your consultation team will begin to provide ongoing 1:1 supervision of each interventionist, as well as workshops for your team.
  • We will monitor your child’s progress and will make changes as needed.
  • The team will meet regularly to discuss, review and monitor your child’s program.
