Thank you for joining us at the Walk for Autism!
A great big thank you to donors and participants of the Walk for Autism in September. It was an incredible day and an incredible event. The Walk for Autism is an annual event organized by Autism Speaks - Canada's largest autism science and advocacy organization. Autism Speaks is dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. The Walk for Autism first started in Toronto in May of 2005 and has now spread to Vancouver and Edmonton. Thanks to your support, the Walk for Autism raised $262,000 dollars and were close to reaching their goal of a quarter million dollars. We hope you enjoyed your time out and that your kids had fun with our bubble machine! If you missed it, we will be working to make a bigger splash next year and invite you, your friends and family join us.
